About Me

My photo
My excessive energy, extreme narcissism, and intense love of neon-colored spandex is both managed and fueled by my addiction to fitness. I push myself to extremes and I push other people's buttons. Obviously I needed my own blog.

Greetings From New York

I am back in New York visiting my family and enjoying a pseudo vacation. I'm working on a few projects but otherwise I'm free to chillax with Frank and harass my relatives into taking photos of me.

I accidentally had my Fabletics outfits sent to my parents' house. This is the Highway 74 outfit and I love the mesh palm tee shirt and the white sports bra. The Dili shorts are cool because they have little tabs to tighten the sides.

Virginia Highlands Running Club

This morning I woke up so excited about running and training for my marathon. I haven't been this psyched in a long time - probably since I started training for New York City in 2011.

While I was in Orlando last week, I went for my first run since I was attacked. (Thank you Samantha and Audrey for catching how my original sentence said that I was attacked in Orlando.) I was with two of our new teachers. I went for my first solo run and first run back in Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon. I ran into my friend Doug from the Virginia Highlands Running Club and I really appreciated his kind words. I promised myself that I'd go to run club on Wednesday evening, no matter what. It starts at 7 PM giving me ample time to talk myself out of it, but I went!

My Trip to Orlando and SUBU CrossFit

I was in Orlando all of last week running logistics and ops for a work event. Every region welcomes its teachers at some point during the summer at an induction welcome week and I got to help out with Orlando's. It's long, it's tiring, but I really enjoy it. I only wish I still got paid hourly. Womp womp.

This was not my first rodeo and I knew that I wouldn't have a lot of time to workout, but I did get in a run and a drop in.

I volunteered to take any interested new teachers on a group run on Tuesday morning. The route I mapped out was only 3.27 miles but we missed a turn and got a 4.64 mile run instead.
